In simpler terms, Pakistan won their first home game since 2015 with a goal from Harun Hamid at Jinnah Sports Stadium. The first leg in Phnom Penh had ended in a 0-0 draw.

This was the first time Pakistan (who is ranked 197th) won a game since 2018. Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, and Jordan are in Group G for Asian qualifying, which starts next month.

FIFA banned Pakistan in April 2021 for 15 months because of too much outside influence, which is the second time they have been banned in four years.

Pakistan will play against nine other teams in a series of matches. This will happen in the second stage, where each team gets to play at their own stadium and also away. These matches are part of the Asian Football Confederation and involve the 20 teams with the lowest rankings.

Pakistan's English coach, Stephen Constantine, had a tough task as there has been no domestic league in Pakistan since 2018. He was appointed just 13 days before the first qualifying games last week.

Before the games against Cambodia, Constantine had said, "If we get everything working together well, be prepared for something great. "

The Pakistan Football Federation shared a video on social media. In the video, Constantine can be seen celebrating with the team after their important victory. " We have done something that has never been done before.

Singapore won their match against Guam by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. They won the entire series with a total of 3-1. Afghanistan also won their match against Mongolia with a score of 1-0. They advanced to the next round with an overall score of 2-0.

Yemen tied with Sri Lanka, the team ranked lowest in Asia, with a score of 1-1. 202 means that the team scored 2 goals, but they had already scored enough in their previous game to win overall by 4-1.

The rest of the teams that made it to the next round, which includes 36 nations, are Bangladesh, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Nepal, Indonesia, and Myanmar.

Myanmar will play against Japan in the next stage. Japan won 2-0 against Tunisia in a friendly match at Kobe. This was their sixth consecutive victory. Kyogo Furuhashi from Celtic and Junya Ito scored one goal each in both halves.

In another friendly match, South Korea beat Vietnam 6-0 at Suwon, which is located just south of Seoul. This was coach Jurgen Klinsmann's third consecutive victory.

Except for Vo Minh Trong's mistake, all the players who scored for South Korea were from European clubs. These players are Kim Min-jae from Bayern Munich, Hwang Hee-chan from Wolverhampton, Son Heung-min from Tottenham, Lee Kang-in from Paris Saint-Germain and Jeong Woo-yeong from Stuttgart.
